list #9
i'm just finding these lists everywhere. notebooks of varying types. i'm just writing what i find on the paper. notes, quotes. thoughts i had at the time. it's funny how it all flowed... the finding of frisbie into the pops highwood thing.
i guess i was settling into a maintenance of my mania without knowing it... i mean, looking back; a regular outing of drinking on a TUESDAY night. that's pretty interesting from a sober perspective. that's pretty early in the week to need to ease things out. the music would have been and should have been enough, but since there was liquor available, and since i couldn't live without it at that time, why not?
it seemed innocent enough -- it was pops (for champagne) in the city, and it seemed like a high class place. except we all ended up some level of drunk somehow. it wasn't like i walked in sober, even. i was always high when i went. but, it seemed okay. older people drinking their fancy drinks and eating their fancy food, and we were playing along. and we were in the ins. we were there to see our band.
it was our secret, tucked away here in highwood. just us and steve and liam and sometimes a smattering of other friends and family. it was intimate and fun.

this might have been the transcendent novocaine night if zack was there..... however, if it's the night ann marie got 'if you miss me' on tape, then it's not, cause just kelly and i were there for the novocaine night.
